タンゴ・ボレアリス ( 北からのタンゴ ) と名付けられたタンゴ四重奏団はフィンランド に生まれ世界各国での研鑽と実績を積み現在は活動の拠点を日本に移したバンドネオン 奏者、ヴィッレ・ヒルトゥラが選りすぐりのメンバーと共に結成。卓抜な才能が集まって 練り上げた極上のアンサンブルと正統派タンゴ・グルーヴで聴く、古典タンゴ、ピアソラ そして現代タンゴの名曲の数々は我々にブエノスアイレスの香りを想い起こさせる。日本を拠点に活動中。
Tango quartet Tango Borealis ( Tango from the North ) was formed by bandoneonist Ville Hiltula, who was born in Finland and has studied and performed in many countries around the world, and is now based in Japan. The quartet is made up of a group of outstandingly talented musicians. This exquisite ensemble with orthodox tango groove reminds you of the atmosphere of Buenos Aires. The group plays traditional Argentine tango, music of Astor Piazzolla, and modern tango masterpieces. Based in Japan.

フィンランド出身のバンドネオン奏者でありタンゴ演奏家。長年にわたり、ヨーロッパ各国を始め、アルゼンチン、アメリカ、日本、ロシアなど世界中で演奏活動を行い、広範囲かつ国際的なキャリアを築いてきた。これまでに Ville Hiltula Tango Cuarteto、Ville Hiltula Ensemble、Tango Borealis やLocura Tanguera などといったタンゴ楽団を立ち上げたほか、世界的に知られたタンゴ楽団、Carel Kraayenhof y su Sexteto Canyengue の一員として、２００５年から２０１５年までの10年間演奏活動を行なった。 ソリストとして、ベルギー、アイルランド、ドイツで公演されたAstor Piazzolla’s tango opera Maria de Buenos Airesに参加した。また、ハーグ・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団やオランダ放送フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、アムステルダム・シンフォニエッタ、アンサンブル神戸、ラ・テンペスタ室内管弦楽団、Kristjan Järvi & his Absolute Ensembleにも参加している。これまでに、オランダではアムステルダムのコンセルトヘボウやムジークへボウやロッテルダムのデ・ドーレン、モスクワのハウス・オブ・ミュージック、ソフィアにあるブルガリア・ホール、ロンドンのバービカンセンターなど、世界中の有名なコンサート会場で演奏している。テレビ番組での演奏経験もあるほか、オランダのロイヤルファミリーやダライ・ラマに演奏する栄誉にあずかったことがある。現在、日本を拠点に活動中。www.villehiltula.com
Bandoneón player and tango musician from Finland. Over the years, he has built an extensive international career, performing in many European countries, Argentina, the United States, Japan, Russia, and elsewhere. He founded several tango ensembles, including Ville Hiltula Tango Cuarteto, Ville Hiltula Ensemble, Tango Borealis and Locura Tanguera, and was part of the world-renowned tango ensemble Carel Kraayenhof y su Sexteto Canyengue, where he performed for 10 years from 2005 to 2015. As a soloist, he participated in Astor Piazzolla’s tango opera Maria de Buenos Aires in Belgium, Ireland, and Germany. He has also performed with the Hague Philharmonic, the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic, the Amsterdam Sinfonietta, the La Tempesta Chamber Orchestra, and Kristjan Järvi & his Absolute Ensemble. He has performed in famous concert venues around the world, including the Concertgebouw and Musikgebouw in Amsterdam, De Doelen in Rotterdam, House of Music in Moscow, Bulgaria Hall in Sofia, and the Barbican Centre in London. He has also performed on television shows and has had the honor of performing for the Dutch Royal Family and the Dalai Lama. He is currently based in Japan.

山口県防府市出身。全日本学生音楽コンクール福岡大会第1位。東京芸術大学音楽学部楽理科卒業、同大学大学院室内楽科ヴィオラ専攻修了。数多くの国内オーケストラにおいて客演首席奏者を務める。現在、東京芸術大学管弦楽研究部非常勤講師。芸大フィルハーモニア管弦楽団首席ヴィオラ奏者。東京シンフォニエッタメンバー、アーニマ四重奏団メンバー。ヴァイオリンや古楽器も奏し、自身のユニットで豪華客船でのショーに出演するなど幅広く活動を展開。またタンゴヴァイオリン奏者として小松真知子&タンゴクリスタル、京谷弘司トリオ等、国内主要タンゴバンドで活躍。アルゼンチン・ブエノスアイレスに於いても公演、レコーディングを行う。
Born in Hofu City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. First place in the All Japan Student Music Competition in Fukuoka. Graduated from the Department of Musicology at the Faculty of Music of Tokyo University of the Arts and completed a graduate course in chamber music at the same university, majoring in viola. He has performed as a guest principal viola with many domestic orchestras. He is currently a part-time lecturer at the Tokyo University of the Arts Orchestral Studies Department. He is the principal viola player of the Tokyo University of the Arts Philharmonia Orchestra. He is a member of the Tokyo Sinfonietta and the Ahnima Quartet. He also plays the violin and early musical instruments, and has been active in a wide range of fields, including performing in shows on luxury cruise ships. He is also active as a tango violinist in major domestic tango bands such as Machiko Komatsu & Tango Cristal and Hiroshi Kyotani Trio. He has also performed and recorded in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Naoko AOKI

東京都出身。武蔵野音楽大学ピアノ科卒業後アルゼンチンに渡り、ニコラス・レデスマに師事。2年間現地の市立楽団「オルケスタ・エスクエラ・デ・タンゴ」のピアニストとしてTVやラジオ等数々の場で演奏。帰国後自己のグループを率いて活動しその後も度々渡亜。ブエノスアイレスやチリでのフェスティバル、アメリカのバレンタンゴ祭、また世界各国から10人のピアニストを集めたバンクーバーでの10グランズ・ピアノコンサートに2年続けて招聘、その他フランス・ポーランド・デンマーク・韓国・チェコ共和国等様々な音楽祭に出演。これまでにリーダーアルバムを含めた自己作品を7枚リリース。演劇やダンスの音楽にも関わる等数多くの国内外のアーティストと共演し作編曲にも力を注ぐ。力強さと繊細さをあわせもつ鍵盤で定評を得ている。http://celeste.phono.co.jp/
Born in Tokyo. After graduating from the Piano Department of Musashino Academia Musicae, she went to Argentina and studied under Nicolás Ledesma. She performed on TV, radio, and other occasions as a pianist for the local municipal orchestra "Orquesta Escuela de Tango" for two years. After returning to Japan, she led her own group and has returned to Argentina many times since. She has been invited to festivals in Buenos Aires and Chile, the Valentango Festival in the United States, and the 10 Grands Piano Concert in Vancouver, which brings together 10 pianists from around the world, for two consecutive years, and she has also performed at various music festivals in France, Poland, Denmark, Korea, the Czech Republic, and other countries. She has released seven of her own albums, including a solo album. She is involved in music for theater and dance, and has performed with many artists both in Japan and abroad, and is also active in composing and arranging. She is well known for her piano playing, which combines strength and delicacy.

クラシック、アルゼンチンタンゴ、即興演奏などで活動するベーシスト。東京芸術大学在学中からタンゴと出会い本国アルゼンチンの若手からタンゴ全盛時代のミュージシャンとも多く共演している。即興演奏の第一人者故齋藤徹氏と出会い大きな影響を受け、様々なジャンルでも即興的なアプローチを試みる。喜多直毅クアルテットや様々なバンドでジャンルに関係なく音楽自体の持つエネルギーを表現するべく模索、活動している。
A bassist who works in classical music, Argentine tango, and improvisation. He encountered tango while studying at Tokyo University of the Arts, and has performed with many musicians from his native Argentina, from young musicians to musicians from the heyday of tango. He was greatly influenced by the late Toru Saito, a leading figure in improvisation, and has tried improvisational approaches in various genres. With the Kita Naoki Quartet and various other bands, he is exploring and working to express the energy of music itself, regardless of genre.
